Having A Session With Me is ….

like being your own Emotional Mind Detective with me as your Mentor.

People often ask me what happens in a Hypnotherapy session. Some are a little sceptical and some feel that when in hypnosis, they are asleep with the idea of not being in control The opposite is actually the case.

You are very much awake and acutely aware of everything that is going on. Your mind works for you. It does what it thinks you want it to do. Even those you see in stage hypnosis are actually telling their minds “yes, I do want to cluck like a chicken”. If they resisted that suggestion, it simply wouldn’t work.

The key to all of this is having the willingness to let go and many of my clients have suffered enough and are most willing to let go.

Our session starts with rapport building. Making sure my client is comfortable with the process and ensuring I, as the Hypnotherapist, understand the issue and outcome my client wants. I start by putting you into a very relaxed state of hypnosis.

You are always in control and you will remember everything afterwards. In this relaxed state with access to your subconscious mind, we revisit scenes/events from your life which have everything to do with where your deeper beliefs (which are driving your current behaviors) stemmed from.

In other words we are working on the cause and affect of your issue/habit/behavior. Looking at these scenes does not mean you are re-living them. You are reviewing them with your adult eyes where you can give new meaning to and re-interpret, thus undoing any negative beliefs that you may have formed as a child.

After looking over three or four scenes from your life and working together to understand their meaning, you feel empowered as understanding is power. Old patterns are recognized and past negative beliefs are erased and eradicated ready for a mindset reset recording.

You then receive a 15-20 minute hypnotic recording which you listen to for at least 21 days to solidify your beliefs at the subconscious level.

Our behaviors are guided by the subconscious, so this creates life-changing results. The mind learns by repetition and by hearing these suggestions every day in hypnosis, you are reprogramming yourself with positive and healthy habits of thought which will lead to the right habits of action.

The shift process is exactly what it says it is. It is a process and shifts of change can happen right away, within days or weeks or there may be lag time. Lag time means shifts may take several months BUT it is a process working for you.
